Parent Mentoring in Myanmar
About Parent Mentoring in Myanmar
It started off in late 2018 with the first session of "GVH Continuous Learning", meant for adult caregivers to broaden their knowledge horizons so they could better guide, communicate and look after their children and orphans.
Parent Mentoring in Myanmar: 3rd Run (2019)
On 11 Sept 2019, 20 caregivers from 15 children homes and orphanages gathered to attend the 3rd run of GVH Continuous Learning Workshop organised by the Myanmar Team of Global Village For Hope.
During the workshop, Linus shared with the participants the purpose and different modes of education with the purpose of widening their horizons so that they could guide their children better.
The caregivers are engaged in interactive discussions about the current education culture in Myanmar, how education and skill levels are perceived outside of Myanmar and the importance of the caregivers' involvement in providing the right conditions for their children to grow.
